Item Description

The zap gun is a specialised self-defence weapon, capable of sending up to 80k volts through a target to immobilise them. The targeting system [RMB] must be first engaged to lock onto a target, at which point the gun will fire, electrocuting the target and tethering the shooter in place. The tether is somewhat unstable, and needs to be manipulated in the correct direction shown on-screen in order to continue stunning a target.

Acquiring

The zap gun can only be obtained by purchasing it via the store command in the terminal or personal terminal at a cost of 400■.

Tips

• Can be used to stun a great variety of entities, allowing for other employees to strike them with a melee weapon such as a shovel. Particularly effective against otherwise difficult to defeat entities, such as Brackens or Eyeless Dogs.

• The voltage will interrupt the attacks and abilities of many entities. For instance, it will stun Masked and Forest Giants out of their grab, and instantly kill Peepers latched onto an employee.

• The stun effect of this item can delay the windup of a Jester.

• Worth giving to the more skilled employees in the group who are willing to learn how to control the gun and extract with it safely due to its high value to acquire.
