A species of parasite that usually operate in small groups of 2-4, Peepers are small, star-shaped entities that walk bipedally and host a large yellow eye in their centre of mass. Their sticky exterior allows them to easily latch onto surfaces and cling to them.
When a Peeper spots a potential host, they will run towards them and launch their body in an attempt to bind onto the host. If they succeed, they will hang from the appendage they connected to until removed. Currently it is unknown how they feed off their hosts, as no damage seems to be present on any assets who have encountered these entities. As such, the threat they pose is extremely low, however due to their large mass for their size they will heavily hinder any host they manage to bind to. Peepers have been recorded to have a weight of approximately 10.5lbs, so while a single Peeper may not impact an assets speed much, a group of them will.
Peepers are extremely weak and vulnerable to a variety of tools and conditions. They will release their grip on a host at any point if they happen to be damaged by another source, and their extremely sensitive ocular region will cause them to release their host or expire if affected by the following tools:
Damage from any melee weapon (Death).
Exposure to light from an active Laser Pointer (Death).
Exposure to paint particulates from a Spray Paint can (Release).
Exposure to light from a Stun Grenade or Homemade Flashbang (Death).
Contact with the current of a powered Zap-Gun (Death).
Avoid entering the line of sight of Peepers to prevent them from spotting and latching to you. Their sticky footsteps and lack of hearing will allow you to identify their presence and evade them easily.
Attempt to dodge any Peeper that happens to spot you to avoid becoming a host. If the Peeper misses you, utilise this time to make distance or eliminate them using a melee weapon or other lethal tool.
If you are burdened by Peepers, be aware that their sounds can alert the presence of Eyeless Dogs to your position, or hinder your ability to escape other dangerous outdoor entities, such as Forest Giants.
Make an effort to remove Peepers from fellow employees you encounter using the previously listed tools in-order to unburden them.
If an employee is burdened by Peepers and there isn't a way of removing them currently, make an effort to take their scrap or equipment items to help them move faster.
