A twisted, blood-spattered mannequin, the Coil-Head is a horrific presence on any moon, moving around at breakneck speeds, searching for Assets. Coil-Heads will constantly move towards Assets at these speeds until they are observed by one of the crew, at which point they will grind to a halt, the spring in their neck oscillating to a violent stop. The Coil-Head will remain motionless, as long as an Asset is observing it. Failure to keep this entity in your line of sight will allow it to creep closer to the crew, and will result in the replacement of one's head with a spring if it enters direct, unattended, contact.
If a Coil-Head is present on a moon, one crew member should be assigned to watch over it to allow the other team members to continue the objective.
Coil-Heads aren't too much of a threat alone, but they shake up the dynamic of searching a facility by forcing players to constantly attend to them. When additional vision-based entities, such as the Bracken, the Girl, or more Coil-Heads appear, difficulties will begin to occur.
Teamwork is essential in tough situations with a Coil-Head. Alternate who is viewing the entity, and direct your team in the right direction to prevent separation or accidental death to facility hazards.
If you are in contact with a Terminal Operator, you can very easily neutralise the threat of a Coil-Head. Look for a dead-end room with a bulkhead blocking it, and bait the Coil-Head in by flicking your eyes away from it temporarily. Once it is within the room, slowly back away staring at it, and allow your Terminal Operator to seal the bulkhead.
