Resembling a fleshy, mutated version of a member of the carcharodon family of sharks, the Thumper is a highly mobile entity that will rush down any Asset it sees in an attempt to devour them. Identified easily by their distinguishable thumping footsteps and monstrous roars, the Thumper excels at spotting targets from a distance and running them down with an immense acceleration speed. Although this creature has great vision, it is incapable of hearing targets, and struggles to turn around corners, especially when at high speeds. Regardless, this beast is a very serious threat that can lock down massive areas of the facility unless treated with the utmost caution.
Listen out for their loud footsteps to pinpoint their position to help you evade and outmanoeuvre them.
Always try to lure this monster into an area with a lot of tight turns that Assets have no trouble navigating, but the Thumper will struggle in.
In the case you need to fight this beast with a melee weapon, use tight turns to force it to bash into walls, resetting their speed and granting you a window to hit them. Remember that striking a Thumper will also slow it down, but give it an easier time when rotating and looking for another opportunity to charge.
Another strategy is to tag-team this entity with another employee. As the Thumper typically focuses on one target at a time, the other employee can land some safe strikes from behind.
