Weapons in the modpack are split into several categories. At any time, you can determine the type of a valid weapon by hovering over it in your inventory. Weapon categories dictate the type of weapons that can be used by an Origin*. The goal of this choice is to add some flavour to individual Origins and spice up group gameplay.

When selecting an Origin, the first power you will see is an indicator of the categories of weapons your selected Origin can wield. The Origin is labelled as one of the following combatant types:
*While you are technically able to use any weapon in the pack, you will deal no damage with any weapons your Origin is unable to use. **Unclassed weapons are available to every Origin (unless they have a power that suggests otherwise).
Swift Combatants are limited to the use of Light and Medium weapons.
Adaptive Combatants are limited to the use of Light and Heavy weapons.
Diverse Combatants are free to use any weapon available to them.
Hefty Combatants are limited to the use of Heavy and Medium weapons.
Immense Combatants are limited to the use of Heavy Weapons exclusively.
Balanced Combatants are limited to the use of Medium Weapons exclusively.
