# Origination

### What is Origination?

**Origination** is a mechanically lightweight RPG and fantasy-oriented Fabric modpack focused on enhancing the vanilla Minecraft experience. As the name suggests, the modpack primarily revolves around the **Origins** mod by ***apace100***, allowing the player to start as one of more than 40 origins with various advantages and drawbacks. This is further enhanced by **Origins: Classes**, which allows the selection of a profession on top of your chosen origin, giving the player agency in selecting a distinct playstyle that suits them.

**Origination** is ideal for a singleplayer or multiplayer experience, and will appeal to builders, adventurers, PvPers and factions players as well as plenty more. The modpack strictly tries to remain grounded in fantasy elements, and as such does not include any significantly technologically advanced mods in it's roster.
