"A chivalrous warrior of a prestigious origin, who serves their oath to protect the denizens of various villages." Hefty Combatant.
Resource (Renown):
Fighting on behalf of the Villagers earns you notoriety. Killing Pillager-aligned mobs will raise your Renown, while killing Villager-aligned mobs will lower it. Renown will also decay partially after each morning.
Positive renown will decrease Villager prices, and allow you to periodically summon reinforcements.
Negative renown prevents Villager trades, and low renown will result in hostility from Villager-aligned mobs.
Renown ranks apply as five different levels. From lowest to highest they are: Reviled, Shunned, Neutral, Accepted, Exalted. You start at Neutral.
Positive:
Use your primary active ability to summon reinforcements, provided your Renown is high enough. Reinforcement squads can contain Guards and Iron Golems.
Use your secondary active ability to print your current Renown level in chat (only you can see this).
Accepted Renown or higher reduces Villager prices.
Gain permanent Hero of the Village at an Exalted Renown level.
Deal more damage with Swords, Longswords, and Halberds.
Iron armour provides you with more defence than it would to a human.
Gain additional armour and health while in a Raid.
Deal more damage when at low HP.
Negative:
Shunned Renown or lower prevents Villagers from trading with you.
Reviled Renown makes Villager-aligned mobs hostile.
Your Renown decreases each morning, or after you respawn.
You cannot gain Hero of the Village unless you are at Exalted Renown.
Deal less damage with ranged weapons.
You have reduced movement speed.
You take additional damage from magic sources.
