# Installation

## <mark style="color:yellow;">Getting Started</mark>

Origination can be installed using several launchers. In this guide, you will be provided with instructions to install the latest version of Origination on Windows through CurseForge, MultiMC, Prism Launcher, and ATLauncher.

1. Download CurseForge for Windows using the provided link above.
2. Run the executable to install the application.
3. Open the CurseForge app, select Minecraft, and click on "Browse Modpacks".
4. Search for "Origination". This modpack should appear in the list. Click "Install".
5. After the modpack has installed, allocate the recommended memory (see [Memory Allocation](https://clarkuk.gitbook.io/origination-1.19.2/information/memory-allocation#curseforge)).

1. Download the Prism Launcher Windows executable using the provided link above.
2. Run the executable to install the application.
3. Open Prism Launcher. Navigate to settings > accounts and add your Microsoft or Mojang account to login.
4. Exit the settings screen. Click "Add Instance" then "CurseForge". Search for "Origination - An Origins Modpack" and select the modpack matching the icon of this page.
5. If you receive a popup stating that you cannot download certain mods through a third-party application, click "Open Missing" to manually download all of these mods - they'll download from your browser to your PC but will be automatically mounted to the instance.
6. After the modpack has installed, allocate the recommended memory (see [Memory Allocation](https://clarkuk.gitbook.io/origination-1.19.2/information/memory-allocation#prism-launcher)).

MultiMC does not offer a direct download through CurseForge due to their policies. Instead, you must download the .zip file for the modpack directly and import it as a new instance, or install using a different method.

1. Download the MultiMC Windows executable using the provided link above.
2. Run the executable to install the application.
3. Open MultiMC. Navigate to settings > accounts and add your Microsoft or Mojang account to login.
4. Exit the settings screen. Click "Add Instance" then "Import from .zip". Click "browse" and navigate to the location of the Modpack repository you just downloaded.
5. After the modpack has installed, allocate the recommended memory (see [Memory Allocation](https://clarkuk.gitbook.io/origination-1.19.2/information/memory-allocation#multimc)).
