# Origins: Classes

### What is a Class?

A **Class** is an additional layer of **Origin** that the player selects after their main [Origin ](/origination-1.19.2/origins-information/origins.md)when they join the world for the first time. The **Class** adds minor buffs to your selected Origin, which are typically passive abilities to enhance your quality of life experience. For example one may choose the [Lumberjack ](/origination-1.19.2/origins-information/list-of-playable-classes/lumberjack.md)as a **Class**, which allows players to gain two extra planks when crafting a log into planks, and also enables the ability to destroy entire trees with one swing when using an Axe.\

View the [List of Playable Classes](/origination-1.19.2/origins-information/list-of-playable-classes.md) to see all of the **Classes** available in the modpack.

### How do I change my Class?

To change your **Class** in survival, craft or find an <img src="/files/dsQaF6WIKd3WopFXfsAt" alt="" data-size="line">**Orb of Vocation**. When used, it will relaunch the UI to reselect your **Class.**\

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://clarkuk.gitbook.io/origination-1.19.2/origins-information/origins-classes.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
